The concept of Greenlight laser vaporization is to eliminate prostate tissue and simultaneously photocoagulate the blood vessels of the prostate, thus creating an open prostate canal without any bleeding.
Greenlight technology is based on the emission of a laser light through a thin instrument inserted through the urethral meatus, without surgical access with cuts. The laser selectively vaporizes the excess prostate tissue with minimal bleeding, sometimes zero and a hospitalization for the patient of less than 24 hours.
